5 Reasons to Buy a Stand Alone Closet

Tags: ,

With all the different types of storage products out there, it can be hard to decide which type is right for you. While you should know off the bat what items you need stored - which will then make it much easier to decide what type of storage is most appropriate - in this article I will attempt to sway your storage needs into being met with that of the stand alone closet. Yes folks, just consider me a "stand alone closet seductress" if you will.

Let's get to it!

1. The Hallway Closet
Do you a nice little hallway in your home? This is a great area for putting a stand alone closet as generally it won't be taking up any space that otherwise was being used for anything else. A hallway provides an easy way to store items in an area of the home that's accessible and often fairly uncluttered. A free standing closet placed here will be out of the way yet close by when needed.

2. The Coat Closet
Where do you put your coats? Hopefully they don't end up on the floor, on the bed, or worse yet, on the living room couch by the front door! The problem is that unless you have a closet for coats, you're likely to throw the coat wherever since there's really no good place to store. Using a stand alone closet as a coat closet solves this problem.

3. The Guest Room Closet
Let's be honest. Do you have a guest room? If so, is the closet in your guest room actually available for your guests? Most likely, you've ended using it to store your extra clothes, which is a bit embarrassing come the moment your guests go to hang their shirt up in the closet!

A stand alone closet here takes care of this problem - just so long as you resist putting more things in it. Speaking of which....

4. An Extra Closet For Your Bedroom
If you've not got enough closet space already, then putting a free standing closet in your bedroom essentially doubles for closet space. This is easier than buying an expensive closet organizer system that requires you to spend a day playing home improvement. Buying a put together, stand up closet is as easy as 1-2-3.

5. It Won't Cost You A Ton Of Money.
This is an area where you can spend anywhere from $100 to $1000. Now, I won't scold you for going into the higher end of things, but to put it in perspective, a stand alone wardrobe closet that costs $300 is probably just as good as one that runs $700. Either way, you don't have to spend a ton of money for a good stand alone closet.
